Current Projects
Four 6'6" spinning rods with split grips and colored blanks -- one green; one  pink; one black; one purple.   The green rod will feature a green ("mint") marbled reel seat.  On the pink rod a "strawberry cream" reel seat will be used.  A black and orange ("halloween") marbled reel seat will be on the black rod while the purple rod will have a reel seat of marbled "purple haze."

[Unfinished United Methodist Church Cross/Flame weave.]

8’6” 5/6 wt fly rod 2-piece. The blank is a GL3 (Mahogany) by g.loomis and with holographic guides and a reel seat which matches the primary reel.   The handle is of red cedar.  (See pictures #7,8,9 in photo gallery.)

9’ 4/5 wt. fly rod 4-piece travel rod “Tiger Eye” blank . This rod is being crafted for a fish biologist. The colors will be brown/gold because he holds a Master of Science Degree and is working toward a Ph. D. from the University of Wyoming. UW’s colors are –brown and “prairie gold.”  (See comment #2 in the plaudits section)

I am currently working on a 9-foot, 5-weight, 2-piece Burkheimer fly rod.  It is a dark blue blank to which I am applying royal blue thread with gold trim bands and gold ceramic guides.   The handle is catalpa wood and the reel seat is a midnight blue aluminum.  Pictures should be in the gallery soon.

I just finished a CTS 9-foot, 5-weight, 4-piece blank of a plum color.  It featured a rosewood appointed handle and matching reel seat.  (See picture #2 in photo gallery.)

7' 2-piece spinning rod.   This customer wants a RED rod so I will order a matte black rod and will finish it with a red blended paint, a "splash red" reel seat, and red painted guides with gold inserts.  With the customer's approval, I will form the handle from red cork.
